Knots o’ War
  •  6 Pathfinders per team
  • This event is a Tug of War using Knots.
  • There shall be 3 Pathfinders on each side of pull area.
  • On the "Go" command, a Pathfinder from one side runs to center ties 1st knot then runs back. When they cross the line the other side sends Pathfinder #2 out to tie their knot then runs back across the line. Then Pathfinder #3 from the first side runs out and tied their knot, this continues back and forth till all six Pathfinders have tied their knots.
  • If a knot becomes untied, the Pathfinder who tied the knot must fix the knot.  When all knots are tied 3 Pathfinders from one side and 3 Pathfinders from the other side picks up the rope and has a Tug of war contest to make sure the knots hold.
  • Club must provide six 6-foot ropes.

Knots that can be used are:
  • Square Knot
  • Bowline Knot
  • Fisherman's Knot
  • Bow Knot
  • Quick Release Sheet Bend
  • Carrick Bend
Any of these 6 may be used, but only 1 time each.
